Know about Eating weed vs Smoking Effects

Weed refers to the dried flowers, leaves, seeds, and stems from the Cannabis sativa plant. The plant contains THC, a chemical that alters the mind. Cannabis has become a common addictive drug among young people around the world. It can be consumed through smoking in rolled joints, or bongs(water pipes), and others consume it by mixing up with edibles(food) such as cookies, brownies, and tea. The two mentioned methods are on the rise today and each method comes with effects in its ways. Thus, the article explains the eating weed vs.  Smoking effects.

Time is taken to feel high

The effects of eating weed usually come after staying for a certain time. That is,  you will not feel high instantly. One thing to note is that once they start, you must feel their presence. That is because, the liver first has to metabolize the THC chemical, converting it into 11-hydroxy-THC (metabolite). The time taken before one gets high is long making eating weed a waste of money as well as time.

On the other hand, smoking effects kick in instantly because the chemical THC instantly travels to the brain from the lungs. That is the reason you feeling high within a shorter time after smoking.

Determining the dose

Eating weed can result in intoxication. The varying amount of THC in the so-called edibles makes it difficult for the consumer to determine the exact dose of weed one is taking. Individuals find it hard due to the absence of consistency due to the delayed effects and they find themselves overdosing. You find yourself frequently visiting the emergency room due to intoxication.

With smoking, it is possible to gauge the amount of THC you are consuming because of the instant feeling of the effects. Thus, you are more likely to control the situation because you have an idea of when to take a break.

Duration of the effects

Keep in mind that you will get high instantly when smoking and after the first toke you will feel relaxed and glued for about 1-2 hours before the effects start subsiding.

Eating weed, on the other hand, is a story of its own. Once the effects kick in; it will take you 4-8 hours before you get into your normalcy.

Highness strength

Eating weed gives you a stronger high compared to smoking. The reason for this is how the body processes THC. Under potency, it is good to mention tolerance. Some individuals may feel perfectly fine even after consuming a whole brownie pot, while others will feel like almost tripping instead of just being high for taking a small quantity of weed.

Smoking cannabis happens slowly,  where one has control over the situation and has the choice of taking a toke at a time until they to their point.

The choice of the method you can use to consume weed depends on personal preference. However, it is good to consider the one that suits you bearing the effects that each has. Eating weed, and Smoking effects take different times before they kick in, they have different potency, and also dosage control differs. Thus, the two have different effects on the consumer.
